창세기 Genesis 24
△Gen.창24:1, JST24:1 이제 아브라함이 나이가 많고 심히 늙었으되 주가 모든 일에서 아브라함을 축복하더라
And now Abraham was old, being well stricken in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.
△Gen.창24:2, JST24:2 아브라함이 자기 집에서 그가 가진 모든 것을 관리하는 연장자 되는 종에게 이르되 청하노니 너의 손을 내밀어 나의 손 밑에 넣으라
And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had; Put forth I pray thee thy hand under my hand,
△Gen.창24:3, JST24:2 내가 너에게 하늘의 하나님과 땅의 하나님이신 주 앞에 맹세하게 하노니 너는 내가 거주하는 가나안 족속의 딸들 가운데서 나의 아들을 위해 아내를 택하지 말고
and I will make thee swear before the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son, of the daughters of the Canaanites among whom I dwell;
△Gen.창24:4 나의 고향과 나의 친족에게 가서 나의 아들 이삭을 위해 아내를 택하라 하매
but thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred and take a wife unto my son Isaac.
△Gen.창24:5, JST24:3 종이 그에게 이르되 혹시라도 그 여자가 기꺼이 나를 따라 이 땅으로 오려 하지 않으면 내가 당신의 아들을 당신이 나온 그 땅으로 다시 데려가리이까 하는지라
And the servant said unto him, Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land, then I must needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest.
△Gen.창24:6 아브라함이 그에게 이르되 너는 주의하여 나의 아들을 그곳으로 다시 데려가지 말라
And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.
△Gen.창24:7, JST24:5 나의 아버지의 집과 나의 친족의 땅으로부터 나를 인도해 내신 하늘의 주 하나님이 나에게 말하고 맹세하여 이르되 내가 이 땅을 너에게 주리라 했으므로
The Lord God of heaven which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that swear unto me, saying, Unto thee will I give this land;
JST24:6 그가 너 앞에 그의 천사를 보내리니 너는 거기서 나의 아들을 위해 아내를 택하라
He shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
△Gen.창24:8 그 여자가 기꺼이 너를 따라오려 하지 않으면 너는 이 맹세로부터 면제되려니와 오직 나의 아들을 그리로 다시 데려가지는 말라 하니라
And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this thine oath, only bring not my son thither again.
△Gen.창24:9, JST24:8 이에 그 종이 자기 손을 자기 주인 아브라함의 손 아래 넣고 그 일에 관해 그에게 맹세하더라
And the servant put his hand under the hand of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.
△Gen.창24:10, JST24:9 그 종이 자기 주인의 낙타 열 마리를 취하여 떠났으니 이는 그의 주인의 모든 재산이 그의 손안에 있음이라
And the servant took ten camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand.
JST24:10 그가 일어나 메소포타미아로 가서 나홀의 성읍에 이르렀더라
And he arose and went to Mesopo-tamia, unto the city of Nahor.
△Gen.창24:11, JST24:11 저녁에 그가 낙타들을 성읍 바깥 우물가에 꿇어앉게 하니 여자들이 물 길으러 나오는 시간이더라
And he made his camels to kneel down without the city, by a well of water, at evening, the time that women go out to draw water.
△Gen.창24:12, JST24:12 그가 이르되 나의 주인 아브라함의 주 하나님이여 오늘 내가 당신께 간구하오니 나의 주인 아브라함에게 친절을 베풀어 일이 잘되게 하소서
And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee this day, that thou wouldst show kindness unto my master Abraham, and send me good speed.
△Gen.창24:13, JST24:13 보소서 내가 우물가에 서 있고 성읍 사람의 딸들이 물 길으러 오니
Behold, I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water;
△Gen.창24:14, JST24:14 이렇게 이루어지게 하소서 내가 소녀에게 이르기를 청하노니 너의 물동이를 내려서 내가 마시게 하라 할 때 그녀가 이르되 마시소서 내가 당신의 낙타들도 마시게 하겠나이다 하면 그녀가 당신의 종 이삭을 위해 당신이 정한 그 사람이 되게 하소서 그러면 당신이 나의 주인에게 친절을 베푼 것으로 알겠나이다 하더라
And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also; let her be the one whom thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast showed kindness unto my master.
△Gen.창24:15 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 그가 말을 마치기 전에 보라 리브가가 물동이를 어깨에 메고 나오는데 그녀는 아브라함의 형제 나홀의 아내 밀가의 아들 브두엘에게서 태어났더라
And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.
△Gen.창24:16, JST24:16 처녀인 그 소녀는 보기에 매우 아름다워 그런 여자를 아브라함의 종이 본적이 없었고 어떤 남자도 그녀와 같은 여자를 알지 못했더라 그녀가 우물로 내려가 물동이를 채워 올라오는지라
And the damsel being a virgin, very fair to look upon, such as the servant of Abraham had not seen, neither had any man known the like unto her; and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
△Gen.창24:17 그 종이 달려가 그녀를 만나 이르되 청하노니 너의 물동이의 물을 내가 조금 마시게 하라 하매
And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.
△Gen.창24:18 그녀가 이르되 나의 주여 마시소서 하고 급히 물동이를 손에 내려 그에게 주더라
And she said, Drink, my lord; and she hasted and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.
△Gen.창24:19, JST24:19 그에게 물을 주고 나서 그녀가 이르되 내가 당신의 낙타를 위해서도 그것들이 마시기를 마칠 때까지 물을 길으리이다 하고
And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
△Gen.창24:20, JST24:20 서둘러 물동이를 구유에 비우고 다시 물 길으러 우물로 달려가서 그의 모든 낙타를 위해 물을 긷더라
And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.
△Gen.창24:21, JST24:21 그녀에게 놀란 그 사람은 주가 자기 여행을 형통하게 하는 것인지 아닌지를 마음속에 생각하며 잠잠히 있더라
And the man, wondering at her, held his peace, pondering in his heart whether the Lord had made his jour-ney prosperous or not.
△Gen.창24:22 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 낙타들이 마시기를 마치매 그 사람이 금 반 세겔 무게의 금 귀고리와 그녀의 손을 위한 금 열 세겔 무게의 팔찌 두 개를 주며
And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a gold earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,
△Gen.창24:23,JST24:22 이르되 너가 누구의 딸이냐 청컨대 나에게 말하라 너의 아버지의 집에 우리가 유숙할 방이 있느냐 하니
and said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee; and is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?
△Gen.창24:24 그녀가 그에게 이르되 나는 밀가가 나홀에게 낳은 아들 브두엘의 딸이니이다 하고
And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.
△Gen.창24:25 또 이르되 우리에게는 짚과 여물이 모두 충분하고 유숙할 방도 있나이다 하더라
She said moreover, unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.
△Gen.창24:26, JST24:25 그 사람이 머리를 숙여 주께 경배하며
And the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord.
△Gen.창24:27, JST24:26 이르되 나의 주인 아브라함의 하나님을 찬양하리로다 그는 나의 주인을 자비와 진리 없이 버려두지 않았으니 내가 길에 있을 때 주가 나를 나의 주인의 형제의 집으로 인도했도다 하더라
And he said, Blessed is the Lord God of my master Abraham, who hath not left my master destitute of his mercy and his truth; and when I was in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.
△Gen.창24:28, JST24:27 그 소녀가 집으로 달려가 이 일을 자기 어머니에게 말하매
And the damsel ran to the house, and told her mother these things.
△Gen.창24:29, JST24:28 리브가에게 라반이라 하는 오라버니가 있더니 라반이 우물에 있는 그 사람에게 달려가더라
And Rebekah had a brother, whose name was Laban; and Laban ran out to the man, unto the well.
△Gen.창24:30, JST24:29 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 그는 귀고리와 자기 누이 손에 있는 팔찌를 보고 또 자기 누이 리브가가 이르되 그 사람이 나에게 이렇게 말했다 하는 말을 듣고 내가 그 사람에게 가리라 했는데 보라 그는 우물가 낙타 곁에 서 있더라
And it came to pass when he saw the earrings, and bracelets upon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the word of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me, and I came unto the man, and behold, he stood by the camels at the well.
△Gen.창24:31 그가 이르되 주께 축복받은 자여 들어오소서 어찌하여 밖에 서 있나이까 내가 집을 예비했으며 낙타를 위한 자리도 있나이다 하니
And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the Lord; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.
△Gen.창24:32 그 사람이 집으로 들어가매
And the man came into the house.
JST24:32 라반이 낙타의 짐을 내리고 낙타를 위해 짚과 여물을 주고 그 사람과 함께 온 자들의 발 씻을 물을 주었으며
And he unburdened his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that came with him.
△Gen.창24:33, JST24:33 그의 앞에 먹을 음식을 베풀었으나 그가 이르되 내가 용무를 말하기까지는 먹지 않겠나이다 하는지라
And there was set before him food to eat; but he said, I will not eat until I have told mine errand.
JST24:34 라반이 이르되 말하소서 하니
And Laban said, Speak on.
△Gen.창24:34 그가 이르되 나는 아브라함의 종이니이다
And he said, I am Abraham’s servant;
△Gen.창24:35 주가 나의 주인을 크게 축복하므로 그가 크게 되었나니 주는 양 떼와 소 떼와 은과 금과 남종과 여종과 낙타와 나귀를 그에게 주었으며
And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly, and he is become great, and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold; and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.
△Gen.창24:36 나의 주인의 아내 사라가 노년에 나의 주인에게 아들을 낳으매 자기가 가진 모든 것을 그에게 주었나이다
And Sarah, my master’s wife, bare a son to my master when she was old; and unto him hath he given all that he hath.
△Gen.창24:37 또 나의 주인이 나에게 맹세하게 하여 이르되 너는 내가 거주하고 있는 땅 가나안 족속의 딸 가운데서 나의 아들을 위한 아내를 택하지 말고
And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaa-nites, in whose land I dwell;
△Gen.창24:38 나의 아버지의 집 나의 친족에게 가서 나의 아들을 위한 아내를 택하라 했나이다
But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.
△Gen.창24:39, JST24:39 이에 내가 나의 주인에게 이르되 혹시 그 여자가 나를 따르지 않으면 어찌하리이까 하매
And I said unto my master, Perhaps the woman will not follow me.
△Gen.창24:40, JST24:40 그가 나에게 이르되 내가 섬기는 주가 그의 천사를 너에게 보낼 것이요 그가 너의 길을 형통하게 하리니
And he said unto me, The Lord, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and he will prosper thy way;
JST24:41 너는 나의 친족 나의 아버지의 집에서 나의 아들을 위한 아내를 택하라
And thou shalt take a wife for my son, of my kindred, and of my father’s house;
△Gen.창24:41, JST24:41 그러면 너는 나의 맹세에서 면제되리니
then shalt thou be clear of my oath.
JST24:42 너가 나의 친족에게 갔을 때 그들이 나의 아들을 위한 아내를 너에게 주지 않을지라도 너는 나의 맹세로부터 면제되리라 했나이다
When thou comest to my kindred, and if they give thee not a wife for my son, thou shalt be clear from my oath.
△Gen.창24:42, JST24:43 오늘 내가 그 우물에 와서 이르되 나의 주인 아브라함의 주 하나님이여 이제 당신이 내가 가는 길을 형통하게 하기 원하면
And I came this day unto the well, and said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, if now thou wilt prosper my way which I go;
△Gen.창24:43 보소서 내가 우물가에 서 있으니 이렇게 이루어지게 하소서 처녀가 물 길으러 와서 내가 그녀에게 이르기를 청컨대 나에게 너의 물동이의 물을 조금 주라 할 때
Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me I pray thee a little water of thy pitcher to drink;
△Gen.창24:44, JST24:45 그녀가 나에게 이르기를 당신도 마시고 내가 또한 당신의 낙타들을 위해서도 물을 길으리이다 하면 바로 그녀가 나의 주인의 아들을 위해 주가 정한 여자가 되게 하소서 했나이다
And if she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels; the same is the woman whom the Lord hath appointed out for my master’s son.
△Gen.창24:45, JST24:46 내가 마음속으로 말을 마치기 전에 보라 리브가가 물동이를 어깨에 메고 와서 우물로 내려가 물을 긷는지라
And before I had done speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder, and
she went down unto the well and drew water.
JST24:47 내가 그녀에게 이르되 청하노니 나로 하여금 마시게 하라 하니
And I said unto her, Let me drink I pray thee;
△Gen.창24:46 그녀가 급히 자기 어깨에서 물동이를 내려 이르되 마시소서 그리고 내가 당신의 낙타들에게도 주리이다 했나이다 그렇게 하여 내가 마셨으며 그녀가 낙타들도 마시게 하고 나서
And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also; so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.
△Gen.창24:47 내가 그녀에게 물어 이르되 너는 누구의 딸이냐 하니
And I asked her and said, Whose daughter art thou?
JST24:50 그녀가 이르되 밀가가 나홀에게 낳은 아들 브두엘의 딸이니이다 하므로
And she said, The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him.
JST24:51 내가 그녀에게 귀고리를 주어 그녀의 귀에 걸게 하고 팔찌를 그녀의 손에 주었으며
And I gave the earrings unto her, to put into her ears, and the bracelets upon her hands.
△Gen.창24:48, JST24:52 머리 숙여 주께 경배하며 나의 주인 아브라함의 주 하나님을 찬양했으니 그는 나를 바른 길로 인도하여 주인의 아들을 위해 나의 주인의 형제의 딸을 택하게 했나이다
And I bowed down my head, and worshiped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.
△Gen.창24:49 이제 당신들이 나의 주인을 친절하고 진실하게 대하기 원하면 나에게 말하고 그렇지 않을지라도 말하여 내가 오른편이나 왼편으로 행하게 하소서 하매
And now, if thou wilt deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me; and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand or to the left.
△Gen.창24:50 이에 라반과 브두엘이 대답하여 이르되 이것은 주로부터 나온 일이라 우리가 악하거나 선하게 말할 수 없나이다
Then Laban and Bethuel answered, and said, The thing proceedeth from the Lord; we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.
△Gen.창24:51 보소서 리브가가 앞에 있으니 그녀를 데리고 가서 주가 말한 대로 당신의 주인의 아들의 아내가 되게 하소서 하더라
Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her and go, and let her be thy master’s son’s wife, as the Lord hath spoken.
△Gen.창24:52, JST24:56 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 아브라함의 종이 이 말을 듣고 땅에 엎드려 주께 경배하더라
And it came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard these words, he worshiped the Lord, bowing him-self to the earth.
△Gen.창24:53, JST24:57 그 종이 은 패물과 금 패물과 옷을 꺼내어 리브가에게 주고 그녀의 오라버니와 어머니에게도 귀한 것들을 주었으며
And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave to Rebekah. He gave also to her brother, and to her mother, precious things.
△Gen.창24:54 그들 곧 종과 그 동행한 사람들이 먹고 마시고 밤새 유숙하더라
And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night.
JST24:59 그들이 아침에 일어나매 그가 이르되 나를 보내어 나의 주인에게 돌아가게 하소서 하니
And they arose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.
△Gen.창24:55, JST24:60 그녀의 오라버니와 어머니가 이르되 소녀가 우리와 적어도 열흘은 머물게 하고 나서 가리이다 하는지라
And her brother, and her mother, said, Let the damsel abide with us at the least ten days; after that she shall go.
△Gen.창24:56, JST24:61 그가 그들에게 이르되 나를 막지 마소서 주가 나의 길을 형통하게 했으니 나를 보내어 나의 주인에게 돌아가게 하소서 하더라
And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath prospered my way; send me away, that I may go unto my master.
△Gen.창24:57 이에 그들이 이르되 우리가 소녀를 불러 그녀의 입에서 들으리이다 하고
And they said, We will call the damsel and inquire at her mouth.
△Gen.창24:58 리브가를 불러 그녀에게 이르되 너는 이 사람과 가려느냐 하니
And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man?
JST24:64 그녀가 이르되 가겠나이다 하매
And she said, I will go.
△Gen.창24:59 그들이 자기 누이 리브가와 그녀의 유모와 아브라함의 종과 그의 사람들을 보내며
And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men.
△Gen.창24:60, JST24:65 리브가를 축복하고 그녀에게 이르되 오 우리 누이여 너는 수백만의 수천 배 축복을 받아 너의 씨가 그들을 미워하는 자들의 문을 차지하기 원하노라 하더라
And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, O thou, our sister, be thou blessed of thousands of millions; and let thy seed possess the gate of those who hate them.
△Gen.창24:61 리브가와 그녀의 여종들이 일어나 낙타를 타고 그 사람을 따라가니 그 종이 리브가를 데리고 자기 길을 가니라
And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man; and the servant took Rebekah and went his way.
△Gen.창24:62, JST24:67 이삭이 라해로이 우물에 이르는 길로부터 왔으니 이는 그가 남쪽 지방에 거주했음이라
And Isaac came from the way of the well La-hai-roi; for he dwelt in the south country.
△Gen.창24:63, JST24:68 저녁 무렵에 이삭이 묵상하러 들에 나갔다가 눈을 들어 낙타들이 오는 것을 보았더라
And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at eventide; and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and behold the camels coming.
△Gen.창24:64 리브가가 눈을 들어 이삭을 보고 낙타에서 내려
And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel;
△Gen.창24:65, JST24:69 그 종에게 이르되 들에서 우리를 만나러 걸어오는 이 사람은 누구니이까 하매
for she said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us?
JST24:70 그 종이 이르되 나의 주인이니이다 하므로 그녀가 너울을 가지고 자신을 가리더라
And the servant said, It is my master; therefore she took a veil and covered herself.
△Gen.창24:66 그 종이 이삭에게 자기가 행한 모든 일을 말하니
And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
△Gen.창24:67 이삭이 그녀를 자기 어머니 사라의 장막으로 데리고 들어가 리브가를 취하매 그녀가 그의 아내가 되었고 그가 그녀를 사랑했으며
And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her.
JST24:73 이삭은 자기 어머니의 죽음 후에 위로받았더라
And Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.
