창세기 Genesis 29
△Gen.창29:1 이에 야곱이 여행을 계속하여 동쪽 백성의 땅으로 들어가니라
Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.
△Gen.창29:2 그가 보니 들에 한 우물이 있고 보라 그 옆에는 세 떼의 양이 누워 있는 것을 보았으며 저들이 그 우물에서 양 떼에게 물을 마시게 하는데 큰 돌이 우물 입구 위에 놓여 있어서
And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of
that well they watered the flocks; and a great stone was upon the well’s mouth.
△Gen.창29:3 그곳에 모든 양 떼가 모이면 저들이 우물 입구로부터 돌을 굴려내어 양에게 물을 마시게 한 후에 그 돌을 다시 우물 입구 제자리에 놓았더라
And thither were all the flocks gathered; and they rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well’s mouth in his place.
△Gen.창29:4, JST29:4 야곱이 그들에게 이르되 나의 형제들아 너희는 어디로부터 왔느냐 하니 그들이 이르되 하란으로부터 왔노라 하고
And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, from whence are ye? And they said, From Haran.
△Gen.창29:5 그가 그들에게 이르되 너희는 나홀의 아들 라반을 아느냐 하니 그들이 이르되 우리가 그를 아노라 하는지라
And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.
△Gen.창29:6 그가 그들에게 이르되 그는 잘 지내고 있느냐 하니 그들이 이르되 잘 지내느니라 보라 그의 딸 라헬이 양과 함께 오는도다 하더라
And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well; and, behold, Rachel, his daughter cometh with the sheep.
△Gen.창29:7 그가 이르되 보라 아직 한낮이요 가축이 모이는 때도 아니니 너희는 양에게 물을 먹이고 가서 풀을 뜯게 하라 하매
And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together; water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.
△Gen.창29:8 그들이 이르되 우리는 그렇게 할 수 없나니 모든 양 떼가 모이고 저들이 우물 입구로부터 돌을 굴릴 때에야 우리가 양에게 물을 먹이느니라 하더라
And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep.
△Gen.창29:9 그가 아직 그들과 말하는 동안에 라헬이 자기 아버지의 양과 함께 왔으니 이는 그녀가 그것들을 지키고 있었음이라
And while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep; for she kept them.
△Gen.창29:10 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 야곱이 외삼촌 라반의 딸 라헬과 외삼촌 라반의 양을 보고 야곱이 가까이 가서 우물 입구에서 돌을 굴려내고 자기 외삼촌 라반의 양 떼에게 물을 먹이고
And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother’s brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother.
△Gen.창29:11 야곱이 라헬에게 입을 맞추고 소리 높여 울었더라
And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
△Gen.창29:12 야곱이 라헬에게 자기는 그녀의 아버지의 조카요 리브가의 아들이라는 것을 알렸더니 그녀가 달려가 자기 아버지에게 전하더라
And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father’s brother, and that he was Rebekah’s son; and she ran and told her father.
△Gen.창29:13 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 라반이 자기 조카 야곱의 소식을 듣고 달려와 그를 맞으며 그를 안고 입 맞추고 자기 집으로 데려가매 야곱이 라반에게 이 모든 일을 말하니라
And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and
brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
△Gen.창29:14 이에 라반이 그에게 이르되 참으로 너는 나의 뼈요 나의 살이라 하더라 그가 한 달 동안 그와 함께 거했더니
And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.
△Gen.창29:15 라반이 야곱에게 이르되 너가 나의 조카인 것으로 인해 나에게 대가 없이 봉사해야 하겠느냐 너의 품삯을 무엇으로 할지 말하라 하더라
And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for naught? tell me, what shall thy wages be?
△Gen.창29:16 라반에게 두 딸이 있었으니 언니의 이름은 레아요 동생의 이름은 라헬이라
And Laban had two daughters; the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.
△Gen.창29:17, JST29:17 레아는 눈매가 부드러웠으나 라헬은 아름답고 사랑스러웠더라
Leah was tender-eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and wellfavored.
△Gen.창29:18 야곱이 라헬을 사랑하여 이르되 내가 당신의 작은딸 라헬을 위해 칠 년 동안 당신에게 봉사하겠나이다 하매
And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
△Gen.창29:19 라반이 이르되 내가 그녀를 다른 사람에게 주는 것보다 너에게 주는 것이 나으니 나와 함께 머물라 하더라
And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man; abide with me.
△Gen.창29:20 야곱이 라헬을 위해 칠 년을 봉사했으되 그녀를 향한 그의 사랑으로 인해 그것이 그에게는 단지 며칠처럼 여겨졌더라
And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.
△Gen.창29:21, JST29:21 야곱이 라반에게 이르되 나의 아내를 나에게 주어 내가 가서 그녀를 취하게 하소서 내가 당신에게 봉사하는 날이 찼나이다 하니
And Jacob said unto Laban, Give unto me my wife, that I may go and take her, for my days of serving thee are fulfilled.
△Gen.창29:22, JST29:22 라반이 그녀를 야곱에게 주고 그곳 모든 사람을 모아 잔치를 베풀었더라
And Laban gave her to Jacob, and gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
△Gen.창29:23, JST29:23 그 밤에 이렇게 되었나니 그가 자기 딸 레아를 야곱에게 데려가매 그녀가 들어가 그와 함께 잤더라
And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to Jacob, and she went in and slept with him.
△Gen.창29:24, JST29:24 또 라반은 자기 딸 레아에게 그의 하녀 실바를 주어 그녀를 위한 시녀가 되게 했더라
And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah, Zilpah, his handmaid, to be a handmaid for her.
△Gen.창29:25 그리고 이렇게 되었나니 아침에 보니 레아였던지라 야곱이 라반에게 이르되 당신이 나에게 행한 이 일이 무엇이니이까 내가 라헬을 위해 당신에게 봉사하지 않았나이까 그런데 당신은 어찌하여 나를 속였나이까 하매
And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah; and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?
△Gen.창29:26 라반이 이르되 우리 지방에서는 동생을 맏이보다 먼저 주는 그런 일을 절대로 하지 않느니라
And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
△Gen.창29:27 그녀의 칠 일을 채우라 그리하면 너가 나에게 또 다른 칠 년을 봉사하는 그 봉사의 대가로 이 딸도 너에게 주리라 하니
Fulfill her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
△Gen.창29:28 야곱이 그렇게 하여 그녀의 칠 일을 채우매 그가 자기 딸 라헬도 그에게 아내로 주었더라
And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week; and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
△Gen.창29:29 라반은 자기 딸 라헬에게 그의 하녀 빌하를 주어 그녀의 시녀가 되게 하더라
And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, Bilhah, his handmaid, to be her maid.
△Gen.창29:30, JST29:30 그가 또 들어가서 라헬과 함께 자고 라헬을 레아보다 더 사랑했으며 또 다른 칠 년을 라반에게 봉사하더라
And he went in also and slept with Rachel, and he loved Rachel also, more than Leah, and served with Laban yet seven other years.
△Gen.창29:31 주는 레아가 미움 받는 것을 보고 그녀의 태를 열었으되 라헬은 잉태하지 못하더라
And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb; but Rachel was barren.
△Gen.창29:32 레아가 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 그녀가 그의 이름을 르우벤이라 했으니 이는 그녀가 이르되 분명히 주가 나의 고난을 돌아보았으므로 이제는 나의 남편이 나를 사랑하리라 함이라
And Leah conceived, and bare a son; and she called his name Reuben; for she said, Surely the Lord hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.
△Gen.창29:33 그녀가 다시 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 이르되 내가 미움받는 것을 주가 들었으므로 나에게 이 아들도 주었도다 하고 그녀가 그의 이름을 시므온이라 하더라
And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the Lord hath heard that I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also; and she called his name Simeon.
△Gen.창29:34, JST29:34 그녀가 또 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 이르되 이제 내가 그에게 세 아들을 낳았으니 이번에는 나의 남편이 나와 연합하리라 하여 그의 이름을 레위라 하더라
And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have borne him three sons; therefore was his name called Levi.
△Gen.창29:35 그녀가 다시 잉태하여 아들을 낳고 이르되 이제 나는 주를 찬양하리라 하여 그의 이름을 유다라 하고 출산이 멈추니라
And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she said, Now will I praise the Lord; therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
